FAQ on Computer Technology Programme @ IITDelhi

1) How will be an academic pressure in Ctech especially for ECE, EE (NON-CS) people?

A) Since CTech Program mainly related to Computer science field and all assignments require programming , students without programming knowledge initially feels tough but soon they can sync with programming by practise. We have seen lot of students with non-cs background are doing well now.

2) In CTech branch it's all software or some hardware related Courses also?

A) Yes, there are some Hardware related Courses as well. Please check this courses list offered in CTech.

3) How is the Placements of CTech branch in IIT Delhi?

A)  Placements are quite good in CTech,  In 2019 December placements session, Average package of CTech students is 25.5L (INR) in CTC.

4) Since CTech is under EE, will CSE student going to study electrical related subjects?

A) No need to take EE related subjects, CTech core subjects itself are CSE core which are ELL781-SFCT: It is Design and analysis of Algorithms, ELL782: Computer Architecture, ELL783: Operating Systems and ELL780:MFCT it is Numerical optimization course, which will help you understanding Machine learning concepts and there is lot of program electives courses related to Machine learning and Deep learning Field.

5) How the interviews will be conducted for CTech Admission?

A)  There will be 3 different panels for CS/IT, EC and EE students. Based on your BTech/BE degree, you will be sent to respective panel for interview.
